Made of die cast aluminum, Salsbury U.S.P.S. approved Regency® Decorative CBU mailbox and OPL accessories can be ordered separately from Salsbury 3300 series CBU’s and OPL's. Decorative accessories feature a durable powder coated finish available in five (5) contemporary colors and provide an elegant finished look to CBU and OPL installations. Decorative tops include a 3'' diameter ball finial and an attractive sloping design and easily mount to the top of CBU’s and OPL's with four (4) set screws (provided). Decorative pedestal covers easily attach over CBU mailboxes and OPL pedestals and include a plastic insect guard and installation hardware.

Salsbury Cluster Mailboxes are Durable and Secure

The Standard Cluster Box Unit and Regency® Decorative Cluster Mailbox manufactured by Salsbury Industries provide USPS access and offers a secure means of receiving mail and packages. Constructed of heavy duty aluminum and stainless steel hardware, the Salsbury Cluster Mailbox 3300 Series is an excellent choice for durability. Each numbered aluminum door includes a heavy duty five (5) pin cylinder cam lock with a dust/rain shield and three (3) keys. One additional compartment in each CBU mailbox is labeled "Outgoing Mail" and includes a weather protection flap and an 11-3/4” W x 3/4” H mail slot with an anti-fish plate on the rear of the mail slot to prevent tampering.

Each Cluster Box Unit and Outdoor Parcel Locker includes one or more fully integrated parcel lockers and a matching pedestal. The Outdoor Parcel Lockers are accessed from the front through one or two (2) easy to open master doors. Each compartment features a double latch locking system to provide maximum security. The durable and corrosion resistant units feature a powder coated finish available in five (5) contemporary colors.

USPS Approved Cluster Mailboxes

Salsbury Industries is officially licensed and authorized by the U.S. Postal Service to manufacture Cluster Box Units (CBU's.) The Salsbury Standard Cluster Mailbox and Regency® Decorative CBU Type I, Type II, Type III, Type IV, Type V, Type VI and Outdoor Parcel Lockers (OPL's) are all licensed and approved by the U. S. Postal Service. Salsbury CBU’s are manufactured to U.S.P.S. "F" specifications.

When you set up your Cluster Mailbox the local post office will install an "Arrow Lock." This lock is used for the local post master to open the unit and deliver the mail. When the U.S. Postal Service delivers a package to the parcel locker, a parcel locker key is placed in the recipient's mailbox. Once the recipient opens the parcel locker, the key is automatically retained in the lock until it is removed with the USPS control key.

How do cluster mailboxes work?

What are the benefits of cluster box units?

It is a lot more efficient for a mail carrier to deliver mail to one centralized location instead of delivering from house to house. Consequently, CBU’s provide the USPS with both time savings and significant fuel-efficiency on their postal vehicles. With CBU’s, the USPS also reduces labor costs as each mail carrier will be able to more efficiently deliver their mail. Cluster mailboxes are more secure than individual curbside mailboxes. Multiple safety features protect against mail theft. Each tenant is assigned a mail compartment that is secured with a heavy-duty cam. An anti-fish plate on the rear of the outgoing mail slot helps block the tampering of mail.

A parcel locker is a lockable compartment designed to hold packages that will not fit in a standard mailbox compartment.

How do parcel lockers work on cluster box units?

Parcel lockers are included with cluster box units, either alongside them or integrated. When a mail carrier is unable to fit a package into a standard mailbox compartment, they will place your package in a parcel locker. The carrier will then leave the key to the parcel locker in your mailbox. (If you look up the USPS tracking number for your package online, you will see a message “Delivered to Parcel Locker” when your delivery arrives.) To get your package out of the parcel locker, you simply need to use the key the mail carrier has left in your mailbox to unlock the parcel locker. The key will have a tag that indicates which locker contains your package. Once you have unlocked the parcel locker and retrieved your package, the key capture system will secure the parcel locker key in place so that it can’t be removed. Only a USPS mail carrier will be able to remove the key with a master key. If you’re still unsure of how parcel lockers work, consult this helpful video.

Salsbury CBU’s come in several colors to choose from—black, bronze, gray, green, sandstone, and white. Other customizable options include custom engraved placards and custom engraved doors (regular or black filled).
